I feel confident about speaking up to protect the dignity of patients
While on placement on a cardiac and endocrine ward, the nurse in charge asked me to manage a bay of four patients due to staff shortages.
I was happy to do this with her support as I had been on the ward for several weeks and was familiar with the patients' needs. The charge nurse was managing the other side rooms and bay, and was close by if I needed her help.
