Rosters are unfilled, despite many nurses being unemployed
I read with interest your analysis (June 20) on gaps in rosters left unfilled because of the difficulties in obtaining agency nurses.
I worked closely last year with a leading agency in the north west of England with a large number of newly registered nurses on its books. To help ensure the competence and professional development of its staff, the agency worked with local nurse managers to develop a preceptorship programme and training sessions for its preceptors.
