Whether it is as a result of poor care or financial problems, no healthcare provider wants to be labelled as 'failing'.
South London Healthcare NHS Trust is the latest in a long line of healthcare organisations to hit the headlines because of its financial troubles. Other hospitals to face scrutiny in recent times include the Vale of Leven in Dunbartonshire for poor levels of infection control and, most famously, Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust for high mortality rates.
