Is enough being done to reduce undergraduate attrition rates?

Universities faced with high numbers of students dropping out of nursing courses have been focusing their attention on lowering attrition rates.
Research carried out by Nursing Standard shows that their efforts are having an effect. However, our survey of 30 universities across the UK reveals that 21 per cent of those who embarked on the three-year degree in 2008 did not complete it in 2011.
