Support the Care campaign this festive season.
A message from Katherine Murphy, Chief Executive, The Patients Association
Dear Supporter,
In 2013 the Patients Association will reach its 50th anniversary and we are expecting our helpline to be busier than ever. There are major changes taking place in the NHS and we intend to make sure that the care needs of patients are met and that care is delivered to the highest standards.
The Care Campaign was launched in 2011 and is a joint campaign with Nursing Standard. Together we aim to tackle poor care and the causes of poor care in hospitals and care homes. The campaign is based around the four most frequent complaints received by our helpline: communication, being helped to go to the toilet, pain relief and not being given enough to eat and drink.
This year we have selected six festive cards for you to choose from. All profits will go towards the Care Campaign.
The Care Campaign recognises that everyone who goes into hospital or a care home is entitled to these four fundamental aspects of care.
Your support today will go towards ensuring this happens.
